Keep the System You Have

Plugs Into AUX

One cable into the line input your amplifier already has. Nothing is opened, rewired or replaced — the amplifier, the speakers and the room stay exactly as they are.

Stereo Line Level Out

Left and right, at line level, straight into the AUX inputs your amplifier already has. Your amplifier does the amplifying — Stream just hands it a clean signal from Home Assistant.

Questions About Stream?

How is this different from Legacy?

Legacy is an amplifier — it drives one passive speaker directly from its wire terminals. Stream has no amplifier in it at all. It sends a line-level signal to the amplifier or receiver you already own, and that amplifier drives your speakers as it always has.

What do I connect it to?

Any amplifier, stereo receiver, or powered speaker with a line-level input — the input usually labelled AUX, LINE IN or CD.
