Six inches of cone area moves considerably more air than a bookshelf speaker usually does. Low notes arrive with weight behind them rather than being suggested, and the woofer is not straining to do it — which is what keeps the midrange clean while the bass is working.
Each driver gets its own amplifier channel, and the split between them happens in DSP before amplification rather than in a passive network afterwards. No crossover components sit between the amplifier and the drivers, so each amplifier sees only the band it is actually driving.
Crossover point, slope, driver level matching and voicing corrections are all settings, not soldered parts. That means the tuning can be measured, adjusted and improved after the speaker is already on your shelf — and it arrives over the air like any other firmware update.
